Chunjing Wei (born in 1962) is a geological professor, works as a doctoral supervisor in the department of Earth and Spaces Science, Peking University.

Biographical details

Chunjing was born in Chaoyang City, Liaoning province, which is the northeast China. At age 17 he went to Changchun College of Geology and studied geology. From July 1979 to July 1983, he finished his bachelor degree of geological prospecting. Then he got his master degree of geology from 1983 to 1986. After that, he started working at Peking University as a teacher and completed his PhD thesis in 1992. He has been a visiting scholar in the geological college of Stanford University from January 1991 to January 1992, in University of Melbourne from February 2001 to February 2002, and in University of Sydney in 2003. He is also an editorial board member of many journals, such as: Journal of Metamorphic Geology (American), Acta Petrologica Sinica, Journal of Earth Science, Journal of Earth Science, and Geological Review.[1]
